Why?

To have a piece of property where capital improvements and infrastructure can be made allowing for actual improvements to the event itself.

To have our own event space to do as we see fit and modify as necessary to suit the needs of the event.

To developing spaces to allow artists to work on their projects on the property and store projects on property.

To secure the future of our local burns on private land that is owned by the non-profit.

Have permanent and or evolving art on the event site.

What is our critical search criteria?

land size: At least 20 acres 80% dry during wet season, water access to stream,lake or on site pond. Partially cleared would be great however we believe the site will best dictate the event’s location and can be cleared incrementally to allow for the event and related infrastructure.

Infrastructure existing: well and electric a must, storage areas and home or similar structures are secondary.

Neighborhood/ Surroundings: We want a nice secluded quiet spot that is likely to stay that way.Proximity to neighborhoods, schools, and religious institutions are a primary concern in the search criteria.

Distance from current site/county’s in cosideration:

Other criteria: A non deed restricted area, with a hands off small local government.

What is our secondary search criteria?

Possible existing revenue streams: Cell towers, partial farm leases etc. this could have an impact on our event budget and either allow us to do more art or simply lower the membership price.

What is our budget?

Our budget is an evolving number with every event our budget will grow slightly, we are currently setting our budget for property itself at 120,000 and budgeting 15-20k for initial investments into the property’s infrastructure.

What are we doing to find this property ?

1. We are doing preliminary searches on the various internet real-estate search engines to narrow down a general area in Florida that is most-likely to provide an abundant selection of suitable properties to look at.

2. We are re-searching various zoning types with our lawyer and ensuring that the property’s we are wanting to look into will suit the way we plan on having events on the property.

3. We will be adding a map to this page that will allow you to see what property’s we have looked at and click through the pictures we have taken and the quick facts on the property.

4. We will be working with our lawyer to come up with a proper approach for liability mediation and ensuring we will be able to properly insure the property and the event.

I HAVE BEEN HEARING THIS FOR YEARS… WILL IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN??

This has been talked about and saved for for years. however at this point due to many variables that our out of our control,it is now a very high priority for the board of the directors.
